How about Darwin himself? He, like most people in his culture, grew up believing the god of the Bible existed and was responsible for all living things, but, after sailing on the _Beagle_ and studying life, he changed his mind and eventually came to call himself [agnostic.](http://www.update.uu.se/~fbendz/library/cd_relig.htm)

There is no mention of divine miracles anywhere in the Theory of Evolution. That’s what many Christians find so disagreeable about ToE. The ones who are trying to reconcile Christianity with ToE are in denial, because saying God used evolution to get life where it is now violates Occam’s Razor, because this explanation assumes the existence of something (God) whose existence cannot be proven.

According to [this article at catholic.net](http://www.catholic.net/RCC/Issues/Pope-and-Evolution/pope-and-evolution.html), “the Church has no problem with evolution so long as divine causality is not excluded.”

Just yesterday when leaving the movie theater my roommate and I saw a car that had the Darwin Fish sticker on one edge of the bumper, and the regular Christian Fish on the other edge. We were amused.

For the sexual fish, check the following site:

Around here there’s a fellow with a big camaro-esque sportscar with a huge playboy logo in the back window, and a discreet Jesus fish off to one side.

Frankly, I’m waiting for the Darwin fish being eaten by the Jesus fish being eaten by the Cthulhu fish.

heh. Someone should tell those EvolveFish people that the “shark” car emblem is also, judging by how many I’ve seen at the law school, highly popular with lawyers.

I’m just glad that the evolutionists are beginning to admit that their belief-system is a religion, hence the fish.

I agree that the Christian fish eating the Darwin fish is very immature. Perhaps if they could make a little Jesus fish that was enlightening the Darwin fish it would work, but that would be far too complicated to draw. 🙂

This is one reason why I dislike the Darwin fish- I’ve met FC’s who see it as proof that “Darwinism” is a religion.

Anyway, Mahaloth, evolution isn’t a religion; it’s science. If you want to claim otherwise, then I’d be interested in hearing your response to my FAQ:

No, it’s just a symbol that lets people know, at a glance, where I stand on the issue.

I always saw the Darwin fish as a joke. I mean, it _is_ a joke, right? So is the new badge, no?

To me, that fish seems just as bad as the Truth Fish Eating Darwin Fish emblems.

First, there’s the whole denying the obviousness of evolution angle (“overcoming the Darwin Fish”). Secondly, there’s the “my belief system can beat up your belief system/worldview” factor involved. The Pagan Fish Emblem would be better if it left out the other fishes, IMHO.
