Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ ‘Tis 74 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 85 and rain/tstorms/apocalypse beginnin’ later this mornin’ and continuin’ through the afternoon. Looks like it will not be good for quality cee-mint pond time. Such is life. In a little bit I shall purtify and head over to the church house for ice. I also envision stoppin’ and gettin’ us McBizkits for brekkies just cause I will pass no fewer than three MickeyD’s on the way there and back. Other than that I have no idea what today may bring. Happy Swampyday! I’ve actually got stuff to do today, which is a nice change from sitting in waiting for emails. Dropped off aprons and picked up final payslip and end of irk documents at the cafe this morning, took a load of plums round to a friend’s place, and just got back from an allotment trip to collect yet more plums. Next I’m picking up a chair (just round the corner, and it’s still flat packed, so I can store it until I move and easily fit it in even my little car), then taking this lot of plums to make pflaumenkuchen at a (German) friend’s place. Organised a little drop leaf table to collect tomorrow morning as well. ---

Favorite cake - that’s a tough one. Favorite frosting is chocolate buttercream for certain, and if you slap that on a yellow cake or a devil’s food cake or a lemon cake… well, you get the idea. But if I could only have one, it would probably be devil’s food with chocolate chips in it, topped with the aforementioned chocolate buttercream. With a cold glass of milk on the side. 😃 I have showered & dressed, scrubbed the shower, and I ran to WaWa for a breakfast sammich because nothing in the house appealed to me. Today’s chores include cleaning both bathrooms, then boiling some eggs for whatever. Rain is promised, tho we got a good soaking last night. Round about 3AM, it came down hard enough to wake us. The storm also managed to knock a big-ass branch down in the front yard - away from the house, fortunately. We’ve now got several large branches that need to be cut up and added to the wood pile. Tomorrow, we definitely need to take trash and recycling - I could do it today, if the rain holds off. We shall see. Happy Saturday! ---

I have cleaned the bathrooms plus I went over the kitchen floor with plain water to wipe off the film. It’s going to take a while for the floors to dry - it’s raining outside and the house is open, so lots of humidity. Eventually, the throw rugs will go back and I can declare my chores to be done. Unless something else comes up. ---

**Happy birthday swampy!** **wet one** , my favorite cade would have to be a toss up of my mama’s mayonnaise cake (a dark, rich, moist chocolate) with chocolate fudge icing or carrot cake with cream cheese icing. I’m fixing to purtify and head in to the 'Boro for a new glucose meter, a CO2 cartridge, a head of lettuce (I forgot head lettuce, the only kind to make BLTs with yesterday), PetSmart for a dog toothbrush and Michael’s for a few supplies for the current studio project. I hope that I can run in and out between showers. ---

**Happy Birthday Swampy!!!** May you have the most wonderful of days! :D:D:D We are still in California. There was a brush fire next to the freeway near Sacramento, therefore it took hours to get through a section that should take minutes. Fortunately, I wasn’t sure about Friday traffic leaving the Bay Area, so I booked a hotel at Mt. Shasta, near the CA border, several days ago. It’s a lovely little place. **Nut** glad the move organizing is coming along well. **WetOne** my favorite cake is called a Chantilly, I think. It’s chocolate cake with whipped cream filling and frosting. Off to get breakfast and hit the road. ---

**WetOne** My favorite of all time cake is carrot cake with a thin layer of cream cheese frosting. My dear Mama used to make a chocolate cake with many very thin layers that was so good. Had to be at least 8 layers and the frosting was her own recipe. The cake was yellow and the frosting chocolate. Warm was best but after it had “set up” the icing was a little crunchy. I so miss my Mama. You folks with parents should treasure them. One day they will be gone. ---

A nice, soft, stead rain is fallin’. The kind of rain I imagine makes all the grass, trees, and plants happy. Munchies are bein’ munched and various beverages consumed. All in all a nice time so far. BBQ for dindin which makes me happy. Plus cake!
