# The U.S. is already a Socialist society!

Yep, and I agree completely.

On the other hand, we now have some pesky empirical issues to deal with. (And some reason to suppose that no everyone on either side is going to look at the questions in good faith.)

Libertarians who agree with you (I’m guessing **waterj2** might, but **Libertarian** probably wouldn’t) have to make the case that a _general guiding principle_ should hold in the face of obviously great injustices on other fronts.
