After consulting Wikipedia for Motoko, Sephiroth and Brock, with whom I was previously unfamiliar, here are my votes (winner in bold): **Batman** vs. Motoko Kusanagi (Ghost in the Shell) Batman is well-nigh unstoppable, and I donā€™t see a Japanese gynoid, however badass, as likely to take him down. Sephiroth (Final Fantasy) vs. **The Terminator** So Sephiroth has an absurdly long sword. Big deal. The Terminator can ventilate him with a machine gun before he gets close enough. **Gandalf the White** vs. James Bond Gandalf the White is not to be trifled with. I donā€™t think Bond would take a white-haired, oddly-dressed old man seriously until too late. With his staff, the wizard could zap Bond before 007 knew what hit him. **Brock Samson** (Venture Brothers) vs. Jason Bourne (The Bourne Identity) Tough as Bourne is, Samson actually seems to be tougher (although Iā€™ve never seen the cartoon). ---

Batman vs. **Motoko Kusanagi (Ghost in the Shell)** Iā€™ve been voting for Batman up to this point, but the Major is \*almost \*as prepared as the Bat, and sheā€™s got a cybernetic body to boot. Advantage, Kusanagi. **Sephiroth (Final Fantasy)** vs. The Terminator As much as I hate to keep voting for that anime prettyboy, I donā€™t think Arnie has a chance. **Gandalf the White** vs. James Bond If Dirty Harry couldnā€™t beat Gandalf, then James Bond certainly canā€™t. **Brock Samson (Venture Brothers)** vs. Jason Bourne (The Bourne Identity) Brock is the perfect killing machine. ---

ROUND THREE IS OVER! The results have been tallied! **Batman 12** vs. Motoko Kusanagi (Ghost in the Shell) 8 The Major had a strong showing, but ultimately what probably did her in was lack of name recognition. Number one seed Batman continues to roll forward. Sephiroth (Final Fantasy) 8 vs. \*\*The Terminator 12 \*\* Iā€™m sort of surprised by this one. I thought Sephiroth might go all the way. On the other hand, heā€™s a little too pretty to be the ultimate badass ā€¦ . **Gandalf the White 13** vs. James Bond 7 Bond shall not pass! **Brock Samson (Venture Brothers) 16** vs. Jason Bourne (The Bourne Identity) 4 If only Bourne had a mullet ā€¦ .
