The Ultimate Night Light

Yep, that’s the one I was thinking of.

As stated before the array would only give enough light to illuminate small areas of the globe such as the major cities where stargazing is already pointless due to electric light polltion and only fnctions when the moon is at least a quarter full or more. Stargazers do most gazing on nights of the new moon anyhow so it really wouldn’t interfere. In fact, the array could direct light AWAY from the earth just as easilly so a “new moon” could be arranged for an hour every night at the same time if needed for important observations. Add to that the lessened smog from power plants not having to fuel a city full of lights and it might be the biggest boon to stargazing since the telescope.
