I wonder if the drugs they give him to combat his sun downing will be insufficient, leading to a two hour, incoherent rant, or they’ll go too far and he’ll rapid fire spit out his nonsense. Also, will all of SCOTUS attend? Will he tell them to their faces, in front the whole country, that they are disgraceful? Either way, I’ll be hate watching it (or as much as I can take) with the sound off. ---

It will be nonsensical and filled with lies as usual, but I don’t think it will be the disaster you’re hoping for. The speech will have been written by his handlers, who will advise him to stay on script. He’s probably still capable of more or less doing that. ---

Nothing really to add, but I am finding it interesting that this thread, in the BBQ Pit, has got a lot more traction than the much politer thread in P&E. As I have stated elsewhere, I won’t be able to join in watching the SOTU, owing to a prior commitment, but I am looking forward to reading here after the speech. This thread will likely be a lot more entertaining than the other one. ---

I’ll watch it on YT afterward. I wouldn’t want to be counted as part of the ratings he lives for. It’s my understanding that the Rep.s are planning to invite quite a few of the Epstein victims. I frankly think it’s a bad idea, and most likely to end in them being treated rudely. Again. But I’m anxious to find out what happens. ---
