Specifically, if not already said explicitly, Trump has now called for an additional 10% tariff to be placed since the ad was not taken down soon enough. Reagan did not like tariffs. Most economists don’t. ---

As Carney was elected after a decade of liberal mis-rule based entirely upon Trump’s actions, it doesn’t hurt him if trump is upset and acting out. If anything, it benefits him and the liberal party the more he is incensed. Clear enough? ---

That is not at all clear, no. You seem to be saying that Ford is irritating Trump in order to benefit the Liberals, but that seems very convoluted. Switching parties would be a much more straightforward way to accomplish that goal. But some people prefer conspiracy theories that support their worldview to reality that doesn’t, so you do you. ---

I don’t think many people here are going to buy the conspiracy theory you are selling. It is illogical and ridiculous in the face of the evidence. Also, you might actually look at Carney as an individual before judging him by his party. He seems pretty conservative to me, Canadian-style, though not the new American-export brand of conservative now being pushed in Alberta. ---

I don’t think that you can look at Canada’s Liberals and Conservatives as America’s Democrats and Republicans, respectively, no matter how much Pierre Poilievere and Danielle Smith wish you could. Carney also seems pretty conservative to me. Remember, he’s an economist with an impressive resumé, and I think that he’s not about to throw his reputation away just to appear liberal (note the small “l”). ---

The tariffs are higher than they were when he started. When will people realize that he’s a bureaucrat and not a leader? That most of his investments are not in Canada, but elsewhere? That he isn’t interested in the development of Canada but its deindustrialization that feeds his net-zero agenda.
