Upon reflection I regret my hasty choice of a less then clever username and wish I had actually bothered to think up something clever. Now I could re-register with a new name, but that may invoke the “sock” rule and also would lose the time/post count of my current designation. Not that post count matters that much, but it is better than returning to newbie-ville. I always like Rainer Wolfcastle- that would be a cool username. “Da goggles-- they do nothing!” Could be my sig. Ah well, back to my cryptic username. How about you? ---

You can e-mail TubaDiva and ask her (nicely) to change your name for you. I did, way back when. When I first registered, I had no idea I’d get so involved in this place, so I didn’t put much thought into it, and just picked a name out of a hat, as it were. After I was here a few months, I wanted something new. As long as you don’t make a habit of it, you can change names without losing your “seniority.” ---

As it turns out the name I really wanted I never even bothered to see if it was taken because it’s ALWAYS taken. So I went with another one. And then when I was changing names because my name was too close to another poster I just for a lark asked for this one if it was open and it was! So I have the name I wanted. Took me 6 months to get it but it was worth the wait. So, you going to become Mr. Wolcastle? ---

I sometimes wish I had signed up as “Aughra.” She was that hideous, crabby, stout, foul-looking old witch from “The Dark Crystal.” She’s the perfect representation of my inner being. I think sh eonly had one eye, too, which is fitting because my eyesight is so poor I’m half-blind in each of them. ---
