The Verve’s lead singer - Richard Butler - sang the song with Coldplay at Live 8. The video was one of the featured performances - got a lot of play. I had no problem with that, not only because it sounded good, but because the critics tended to say that the song was so powerful it took away from Coldplay’s songs right after that. I am not the biggest Coldplay fan out there… ---

BTW they’re not together anymore, according to my SD. Me too. They even used the crap mixes of the early songs. The whole point of “She’s a Superstar” is the massive swirling guitar bit at the end, and they ended up using a mix without it :rolleyes: ---

So are many of the compilation CD’s - for some reason, we have a copy of Wow 19(?) with “Hollaback Girl”. Trust me, the lyrics in the song we hear are far more tamer than what they really are - not a single profanity to be heard. ---
