Merle barely counts as a regular. And he is quite possibly alive.

I was going to say that at least she can have babies, but if she can’t have babies without a caesarian, then she is a biological dead-end in the new world.

Dale died on the farm when a zombie ripped him open..
Hershel’s wife was already dead (in the barn), and Beth’s friend Jimmy died when they left the farm at the end of last season.
Shane killed Randall, the guy they brought back after the shootout in town.

Why is it that the black guy from the first few episodes of season one has better character development than T-Dog? Also, did Rick give up on that guy or what?

The little girl they looked for all the second season.

When they were explaining what had happened to the world while the inmates were trapped did I hear correctly Rick saying that they figure more than half the population is gone?

Seemed like a serious understatement but I wasn’t sure I heard right and didn’t bother going back.

Yeah, he said something like “at least half, probably more.” And I agree that it sounded like a huge understatement.

I think if they were locked in the cafeteria for all those months, they would have nothing BUT time to groom themselves. 😛 They seem kind of well-adjusted for all that. Other than blinking in the sunlight, jailbirds or not, you’d never know they’d been entombed in a room with no communications from the outside, all that time. (I wonder if there are any bodies of murdered prisoners stuffed in that freezer?)

Yeah, I assumed that Rick figured it was a bad idea (quite reasonably, IMO) to risk Guy With a Bat and a Grudge finding his way back to Cell Block C.

I don’t buy that Tomas got along with his cellmates for those 10 months. I put the over/under of number of bodies Tomas killed and stuffed in the toilet room at 3.

Lorie, Beth, Maggie and Carol represent an embarassment of riches for our gang. Actual, living women who can bear children in an apocalypse are worth 100 men. I don’t blame Rick a bit for killing the prisoners he killed, and further I probably would have killed the other two as well.

As for our gang being the bad guys and not getting along with anyone they meet, they’ve met three groups of people so far, and the two groups of only guys were highly shady and got the killing they deserved at the hands of Rick. (Guidos in the bar, and the convicts.) The third group they came across wasn’t all guys, and that group was assimilated rather well, if a bit slowly. I’m not seeing a huge issue with our gang getting along with others who are worth trying to get along with.

Basically, I guess what I’m saying is that if your group is only guys, I recommend killing. If there’s women in your group, assimilate.

Don’t see that - they would have been ten months with nothing to eat except possibly zombies, which can’t be good for you. The prisoners we met had the cafeteria, and I can’t imagine a prison having more than one of those.

In last week’s episode two things really bugged me. First Daryl put his hand over the mouth of a zombie as he stabbed it in the head, then when Maggie sat on the cot, Glenn started kissing her zombie blood splattered shoulder.

Rather convenient that the pathogen behaves in just the exact way it needs to in every scene, kinda like Mitichlorians, in fact

Maybe we should refer to the pathogen as “zombiechlorians” or “walkerchlorians”, maybe “brainsichlorians”…

?Plotichlorians?..

Magic Bacteria (Band Name!), yeah, that’s the ticket

Well, it hasn’t been discussed much, but having access to the prison laundry suggests a good supply of soap. That’s certainly bound to be useful.

Semi-related, if zombies aren’t attracted by the smell of other zombies (as indicated by an early episode where characters could walk among the zombies if they first covered themselves in zombie guts), what about killing zombies through the fence and then spacing their bodies out evenly along the perimeter? Wouldn’t that tend to discourage others?
