A top 10 episode for sure, maybe even top 5. I thought there was quite a bit of “Of Mice and Men” going on in this storyline. There were any number of similarities to point to–keeping the mice, the interest in rabbits, the idea of having a place to yourself against the horrors of the world–but the end in particularly seemed highly reminiscent of when George kills Lenny, telling him to look away while George talks and eventually shoots him in the head. ---

That kept running though my head as well. It wasn’t terribly subtle. Still the best episode of this season. I enjoyed Carol & Tyrese more than I thought I would, and more than anyone else this season. ---

That’s too bad. I was hoping Lizzie would stick around since she’s not a walking cardboard cutout. I was looking forward to Carol maybe trying to help her not be so crazy. But if you’re gonna go for the double child murder, that’s the way to do it. Was anyone else half expecting Carol to humor Lizzie and show her sister turn? Probably wouldn’t have helped, but I dunno what else could be done to convince her otherwise. ---

The girl playing Lizzie is 12 years old, but she looks much more mature. Carol is looking much prettier, on the show and on The Talking Dead after. I wasn’t surprised by anything that happened, but I do feel bad for poor Mika. Did one of them dispatch her with a shot to the head? ---

I could have sworn I saw 3 graves in the yard at the pecan farm. Did they off LPITA? I did see the baby shaped papoose on Tyreese’s back as the ep ended - but we didn’t see LPITA after the burial scene. I’m assuming that if Judith had died we would have been told, right? ---

There were graves there already when they arrived. I’m pretty sure they added just two more. Judith isn’t going anywhere as eventually there’ll have to be a touching reunion scene. ---

LPITA survived, but I was also confused for a bit. I think they buried a couple of the re-deceased too. Tyreese was carrying the doll in the last scene. ---

My guess is that the hole on the tracks that the zombie stepped into was caused by erosion and the fact that there hasn’t been a train on those tracks in nearly two years. ---

Washouts like that are common occurrences, whether the line is active or not. A nitpick: the rails are shiny on top, which shows traffic is present. ---

That was a really chilling episode. I did guess fairly early on that Lizzie was going to kill Mika, but I still found it very affecting.
