> It only took 5 seasons, but finally someone just came out, grabbed another person and said “are you a zombie?”. To which Rick said “no”. They killed him afterwards, but still, it was a lot easier then getting all weird about everything. I’ve been saying they should do that since the I started watching this show.

Ah, _that’s_ what the crazy guy said to Rick! I didn’t get that on the first go-round.

If they really, REALLY wanted to fuck with us, they would have offed Glen then. “See? No one is safe!”

Carol was beyond awesome. She handled things just about perfectly - I wasn’t yelling at the screen to not be so stupid once!

(And my favourite moment from the episode - Daryl saying to Carol, “Did you do that?” and Carol replying “Yes.”)

I did not before, but I am now. Damn.

I noticed that too, or at least I noticed that Carol was spotless. The identical mud that seems to show up everywhere it conveniently needs to be was 100% gone from her face as well as all the zombie blood.

Agreed, pure Easter egg. Nothing to do with the plot.

Personally I’ve always wanted to see a zombie apocalypse done from the perspective from “the authorities” rather than the man on the ground, but I can see how that would be very hard to pull off. I’ll settle for going back to the start of the outbreak though. Though if they’re going back to the beginning what’s the point of filming in Detroit, most the of city already looks like the apocalypse hit. 😛

Yes, the only way the parallel could’ve been more blatant would be if the Termites made the cattle strip first.

I think the pile of stuffed animals bricked that door up tight. Whatever happened to them at the hands of the marauders every last Termite deservers eradication. _Nothing_ could possibly justify that kind of evil. They are utterly beyond redemption.

Who would ‘the authorities’ be? I’m not sure I understand that.

As for Detroit, if it’s not just a random city, I could see it being used because it’s got the Big Three car companies there which would give them three huge compounds to work with.
I mean, any blue collar town will have huge factories, hell, any white collar town will have office buildings, so I don’t know what’s special about Detroit. Maybe an unlimited supply of cars?

1 hour?..Premier should be 2 hours dammit…Just a tease… -.-

I got a chance to get caught up from day one. Over a few weekends.

Im not even a fan, but I saw a few things, that were in question, it was obvious, if you were listening.

I miss Andrea.

Carol, cool.

Beth? hmm

Im sure there’s more backtracking in this later on…I hope…it closes gaps in continuity. ☹

My guess is that Detroit is desperate enough for business that your production can get huge tax incentives.

Continuity error at the end… Tyreese comes out of the cabin and closes the door. In all the reunion shots, the door is wide open. End of the scene, no one has gone near the cabin, door is closed tight.

One news story I read said that they want to use abandoned areas of Detroit.

There were streaks of mud on her neck and still in her hair a bit. She just washed her face, and was glowing with the zombie-blood-mud-mask effect.

Veal.

Yes, Rick should have persisted, gone back and killed them all.
I think he shot the head bad guy; he fell over, or was blown over in the unrealistic TV way people are shot. He is too good a villain for the writers not to use him again.

> When bugged me more than anything as unbelievable is that Carol spent all that time lining up her shot, with a scope, and taking two or three shots to hit the giant LP tank but managed to hit the plume of propane, not just with one randomly aimed bottle rocket, but she set it up beforehand, she didn’t even know where the puncture was going to be. She at least could have adjusted the bottle rocket a little afterwards to make it look somewhat realistic, or give her a roman candle that she could aim.

I questioned the likelihood of there still being propane in that tank…

Popping the tank and then igniting the gas? That’s some real Wile E. Coyote shit right there.
I didn’t recognize the blond guy at the end of the trough, and thus figured (correctly) that he was going to be the anonymous redshirt that was going to be sacrificed to show how much trouble the established characters were in. Then I didn’t recognize the next guy, or the two guys after that, so it’s redshirts almost all the way down.
