Yessir, that’s what this show needs: some Europeans. 😛

Doesn’t it already have an all-British cast? 😛

I think there’s a Australian or two in there, as well.

(But none of those have the Continental touch.)

What do you call decomposing zombies in a pool of water for two years? (Hint: See my earlier post. 😃 ) And, ewwwww.

I’m going to stick with Bob Was Bit, too. He was busy being in the throes of new love with Sasha - I don’t think he would have wandered off to have a good cry unless he knew he wasn’t long for this world.

Yeah, that was one of the most mind bogglingly stupid things I’ve seen on this show. :smack:

Well prions, which are real, can’t be killed simply by cooking meat well done and the fictional zombie pathogen already defies all known laws of biology so who knows what it can survive.

I was wondering if some sort of prion disease might explain how the Termini went from “we will survive” to “this shit tastes good!”

It’s the \*opposite \*of dents that you really have to worry about - bulges indicate that some sort of bacteria, like the kind that cause botulism, is growing inside. Dents by themselves are actually no biggie, as long as they haven’t compromised the air-tight vacuum.

A friend and I were debating the Bob/Gareth thing today. He thought that Bob was a Termite but I disagreed. We were trying to reconcile between how he knew Bob by name. My guess was that Bob and his crew had been in Terminus longer than Rick’s band. They had time to talk to Gareth and the folks before everything went down. We then went back and found this quote from Ep 1:

“Don’t do this. We can fix this. We told you there’s a way out of all this, you just gotta take a chance. We have a man who knows how to stop it… he has a cure. We just have to get him to Washington. You don’t have to do this, man. We can put the world back to how it was.”
—Bob to Gareth about Eugene and a cure

To me that reads that Bob tried to reason with Gareth post capture but pre blood trough and that is how Gareth knew him so well.

Probably. Even sans the apocalypse, I try not to think too hard about where my T-bones and ham shanks come from. To kill and butcher my own meat, I would have to have exhausted all of the other food sources first, and be pretty damned hungry.

No one, here or anywhere, has mentioned the hacking-off-and-eating/cooking-someone’s-leg while he was still alive is an element of the REALLY post-apocalyptic novel “The Road” , by Cormac McCarthy. In that world, there is nothing living in the world, no plants, fish, birds, animals. Maybe some lichen. There are cannibals who keep captives and dismember them as needed. In TWD dead world, cannibalism seems to be just laziness.

I thought Bob had been bit too. Slightly off topic, but has anyone given thought to how the zombies would fare in sub-zero temperatures? Contemplating how I would tackle the zombie apocalypse (as you do) I figured that they would freeze solid and be immobile in colder cities during the winter. This would present a great opportunity to get in an stock up on supplies. I imagine that they would re-animate when defrosted, but you could de-head a huge number of them in short order while frozen. Thoughts??

Yeah, the new spin-off serious is supposed to filmed in Detroit. First winter, problem solved. Not gonna happen that way.

Wait, I thought about it two seconds more. Everyone is infected so eventually someone will slip in the shower and die, and it’s the ZA all over again.

Ohhh! I’m certain it’s not what the writers have in mind, but since everybody is already infected, perhaps there’s something latent and suppressed about the _taste_ human flesh in the living. And if one were to be so inclined to actually delve into cannibalism, the “disease” would cause them to crave it, despite the repulsive notion.

Would make for an interesting explanation how they’re all so seemingly okay with it. Almost eager for another bite.

Mushrooms. They did find mushrooms. So yeh, I’d start eating people immediately.

Wow, I am out of the loop! Maybe they will do a spin-off-off and shoot a series in New Zealand, Peter Jackson styles. I could get a walk-on part as a zombie/zombie victim.

Bound too, otherwise it would have to be subtitled to get around our single vowel sound in these parts.

That’s an interesting take on the cannibals desire for human flesh. I thought it was more about the power and control of the group-think, but I can see where you are going with this.

Maybe that’s why cannibalism is such a big taboo - humans just taste so damned good, if we found out, we’d all be eating everyone else.
