From all this talk about Negan I thought that he was some kind of Great Leader whose minions would follow him into the fires of Hell itself. But all he is, is an asshole with a bat. ---

All they need is one person committed to dying to take Negan out. A suicide bomber sort of person. I really think his group would be in such disarray after that, it would be easy to bring them down. StG ---

Actually, I was thinking that. They’re sort of setting up Dwight as a sympathetic character on a redemption arc. And they’ve given him Darryl’s crossbow and motorcycle. They’ll kill off Darryl in a blaze of glory to set Dwight up as the new Darryl. He even has a “D” name that’s normally associated with rednecks. StG ---

Then real-Darryl steps up, coolly finishes the job. ---

What was the deal with Negan taking all of their beds? He’s just messing with them, right? Furniture must be pretty easy to come by in the apocalypse. Mattresses don’t “go bad” and they last quite a long time while being used. Next week I want to see Negan take all their kitchen tables and one tire from every car. ---

Definitely punishment. Are all the houses in Alexandria even occupied? Wouldn’t work on me though. For some very strange reason I find sleeping on the floor comfortable. Didn’t use to. Weird, huh? ---

I had to scour the internets to find out they were burning mattresses. So they didn’t need them at all. It was just to “mess with them.” ---

He can jump off a bridge on fire next episode for all I care. Darryl is one of the main reasons I’m WATCHING this shit (and what is ‘merchandisable’, anyway? I haven’t seen any Darryl motorcycle shirts or Darryl bath and body wash out there). New Darryl - Dwight?? - my ass. If that extremely unlikely thing ever came about, I would be out, and all across the land you would hear the sound of tv’s clicking off AMC.:mad: ---

I hope they flesh Negan out some because he is making me long for the Governor. And that is saying a lot. At least with the Gov you kind of felt like you were watching a descent into madness. Negan is already there, and right now his skill set of witty banter seems like an awfully thin resume. Hell the redhead woman that Carol killed was displaying far better leadership traits than we’ve been shown about Negan. ---

I admit some mild curiosity how many outrages the writers intend Negan and friends to perform before they are satisfied that we, the audience, are thoroughly convinced that they are indeed this season’s antagonists. I suspect the next two episodes will consist of Negan forcing the Kingdom and Alexandria to compete in a live-puppy-eating contest. The losing group, of course, will have one random member Lucille’ed to death. Then the winning group will have _two_ members Lucille’ed to death, because that Lucille, boy howdy I dunno… ---
