My guess is that she wanted Daryl to know she was sorry she came back to Negan. Double-crossing Negan is a death sentence (depending on how Negan feels that day). Would this speech make Daryl believe Sherry was going to help him escape, or just that she was feeling sorry for herself? ---

As of S7 E15, Daryl, and everyone else in Alexandria, would like to make Dwight pay for what he’s done in Negan’s name. It’s now up to Dwight to convince the Alexandrians that he really hates Negan, isn’t a spy, and truly wishes to help them kill/capture Negan. Dwight seems to have convinced Rosita that he may be of some future use, or at least has something to say.
