Sounds like no resolution to The Negan Problem tonight, as most of the folks here have predicted. Although this show isn’t as good as it was, I’m happy to stick with it. I doubt I’ll bother with _Fear_, though. ---

I was operating under the premise that Eugene knew that they wouldn’t kowtow to Negan, and knew they’d fight back, even if he didn’t know exactly _what_ Rick and company were going to do. ---

When Carl resisted, I immediately was like “Yeah go Carl!” And I think I nearly had a heart attack with Carl, Rick and Negan. I was really wondering if Carl was going to get Lucille’d. Rick’s response, and Andy’s delivery, was awesome. And Negan “Well, he said I could do it.” Yikes. Well done. When the head salvager said “I will lay with him after” the look on Rick’s (Andy Lincoln’s) face was priceless. I laughed. I love Negan as he’s fleeing. “They have a tiger” (or something like that). I again laughed. Great season finale. I can’t wait for next season. ---

A gun battle in the close quarters of Alexandria . . . and no one in the main cast was killed? Negan & his crew literally drive casually through a gauntlet . . . and no one was killed in his convoy? I never thought TWD does major battles well. It always seems haphazard, and almost always the main characters survive relatively unscathed. I guess I was looking for more carnage & closure tonight. Meh. ---

Well this was the best episode in a long time. I figured Sasha was going to take the pills to “surprise Negan” as soon as I realized it was her in the coffin. Speaking off, did anybody else wonder if they actually lugged it back to the graveyard and bury her in it? 😃 I mean that else are they going to do with it, and if anyone deserves a fancy funeral it’s her. ---

This show does not do gun battles well, ever since the governor the fights have just gotten more and more ridiculous. The non shooty parts of the episode were great though. I did expect Negan’s army to look much bigger at the end, it looked like he had 30 dudes there at most. ---

That was kind of a mess. And Rick couldn’t snatched the gun from Garbage Goth Queen’s hand anytime he wanted to. Sasha took a chance that she’d turn in time. I’m not happy with this at all. ---

We knew that they would not resolve the Negan situation because Jeffrey Dean Morgan was signed for next season almost right after this season’s premiere. The writers know a gold mine when they see one, and there’s no arguing that JDM is having the time of his life playing Negan. I could do without the TrashPeople, though. ---
