The Walking Dead is going to get bad, isn't it?

She did stir the pot, didn’t she?

I never watched any of it until S6 was completed, then watched the first 5 seasons on Netflix and S6 on Amazon. I caught the Fear the Walking Dead 1st half of the 2nd season, then the 1st season, and realized I’d never watched the original series. It’s hard for me to stay interested in a show week to week, through the ups/downs/cliffhangers, but zipping through the whole thing alleviates the suckiness for me.

I did basically the same thing for Breaking Bad - binged the first seasons leading up until the start of the final season. True Blood - never watched it until it was over. Lost - never had CBS network feed during its original run, watched it all on Netflix. Game of Thrones - didn’t start watching until after the first 4 seasons had aired. I watched Better Call Saul as it aired, watching Preacher, and stuff like Hap and Leonard that’s only a few episodes is OK.

Question for those who watch it: has any sort of cure for the zombie syndrome ever been mentioned or explored? Or is everyone pretty much resigned to having to deal with hordes of undead unto eternity?

A search for a cure was mentioned early on, but never realized after the scientists working on it (all but one) abandoned the cause. That’s when it was revealed that everybody was actually infected, just didn’t turn until they die.

I always wondered how long the dead can keep going, some of them are pretty decomposed. Joints and muscles will surely start giving up at some point.

There’d be a real chance at a life if A) People didn’t turn when they died, and B) bites weren’t fatal.

A few minor edits and I could use it as my description for *Game of Thrones *as well.

Even if we accept A and B as unavoidable truth, there are ways to solve that. Make people wear face masks. Put a deadbolt and a small window in every bedroom door. Put rope lines up all over the place to trip zombies. The writers of TWD are too much in love with their own drama to start problem-solving the new world.

I think it’s one of the best shows on TV right now, even though it definitely has it’s bad moments. (Full disclosure: I haven’t seen any of the Netflix series that get so much acclaim). Try to make it to Episode 6.2, which was one of my favorites. And if you like take-charge women, you’ll like that episode.
