I have a pot roast simmerin’ away in the slow cooker. I threw it together and then had a nappy poo. All is good. The other big chore to take care of today is to haul the trash can down to the road at some point. Tomorrow is trash day in my ‘hood. Nuttin’ says neighborhood beautification like a bunch of biiiiiiiiiig ugggggggly trash cans settin’ beside the road. 😃 ---

Here too. Moonday is a good trash day, if you have a party over the weekend you can get rid of the trash before it starts to stink. At my mothers trash day was Toosday and Firday until the county cut back on services and went to just Firday. Horrible trash day. If you have crabs over the weekend by the next Friday the smell would make you gag. Sometimes we’d put stinky stuff in the freezer until trash day. I need to figure out what to have for dinner. I have stuff here I just don’t feel like cooking. ---

It got into the high 50’s. Hubby made a big pot of vegetable beef soup and cornbread. Was good. I haven’t changed my clocks yet. Back to irk in the am I guess. Y’all stay warm. ---

I just had some fun wanderin’ around the old part of a cemetary listenin’ to tales of some of the folks buried there. I and about thirty folks from the church did this with one of our members, whom we named “Tombstone Tim”, who is a local history buff givin’ us the history. I went down at four and others showed up from the church house a little bit later. A few others just drove down themselves as well. It was closer for me to just go from da cave. Anywho it was a hoot. Pot roast is done and in a container to cool down a bit more before I put it in da fridge. I had a fried aig sammich for dindin, and the trash is now down at the road. Thus endeth the weekend. ---
