Thought for sure that was going to be a link to The Squadron Supreme miniseries
of the 80s which for some weird reason doesnt have a wiki article of its own.

Dale Sams: Was that the one where Tom Thumb invented a mind-changing device to turn bad guys into good guys – with unintended consequences?
It was pretty good…but Watchmen was so much better…
I do have a challenger, but it’s mighty obscure: 2001 Nights. This is a b&w manga series, approximately set in the universe of 2001: A Space Odyssey (modulo copyright issues.) It seems to be a series of loosely collected stories, but the writing is so well crafted that only at the very last issue is it clear that the entire thing is one long story, a novel (if you will) that appears at first to be a collection of short stories. Also brilliant art, in the Space Odyssey kind of style.
I think this puppy gives Watchmen a run for its money.
(Apologies for continuing a highjack.)
Oh I agree …Watchmen is always number one. Your recommendation sounds fascinating. And I also apologize for hijacking. To steer it back a little I want to say if anyone has read the original 80s Suicide Squad run, needs to run out right now and get it
Good lord, somebody please edit that article.
