(post shortened)

Yes, Hillary has been running since Bill Clinton left office. She’s been pre-ordained by the political establishment and power brokers.

And she still can’t put Bernie away.

How is that possible? Apparently, a lot of voters don’t like Hillary. Apparently, a lot of voters prefer Bernie. Apparently, a lot of voters reject the spin, bias, and horseshit coming from the political pundits, media outlets, and Hillary worshipers. Life’s a bitch.

“Can’t put Bernie away?” Hillary has a more commanding lead over Sanders than Barack Obama ever had over her. She’s doing just fine, thank you.

Because even though the horserace has been over for quite some time - the media works on clicks - and everyone likes an underdog story. So it isn’t in anyone’s interest to “put him away” - except for Hillary’s - and it may even be in her best interest - she gets more coverage when he is in the race than she would uncontested - and he really hasn’t thrown anything at her she hasn’t fielded before. Bernie has funds to keep going and wants his issues out. The media wants the clicks of a competitive race - so they’ll make it seem more competitive than it is. Clinton wants the continued coverage which lets her talk about her issues and her approach.

Yes, a lot of voters reject the spin, bias and horseshit - but MORE votes don’t.

Someone further up thread mentioned FDR and the dear Kaiser and how they moved left to placate the mobs. Well, the mobs in the US have the Democratic Party and thus they have Hillary. She doesn’t need to placate the far left. They are captive voters. She needs to appear moderate enough to capture the center.

Now on to the ruling class comment. The ruling class desires power, naturally, thus the name “ruling class.” They get it via votes and or money. You get votes via sales and marketing techniques. Core convictions? That’s a marketing technique.

No, she doesn’t. If she’s running against Trump or Cruz, she can win without the center. So could Sanders.

Seriously? Did you actually mean that MORE votes [sic] don’t reject the spin, bias, and horseshit?

Personally, I believe that the way the Democratic establishment is treating Bernie supporters is a blunder.

I honestly don’t think there are many “Hillary worshipers” out there. There are many, like me, who are generally okay with her. As others have said, she’s doing fine. Everything is going to be okay. No need for excessive drama, this is what elections look like. (the other party, however, is fun to watch)

Well it’s great that you’re refuting something I’m not saying. But your also saying you don’t know that Hillary is the people’s choice because everyone didn’t get to vote. Not that it matters because you have to face the fact that right now Hillary has won a narrow majority of Democrats and some independents in a primary heavily weighted in her favor. You are in luck though, the GOP is falling apart and Bernie is doing the right thing and swinging around to support her and the Democratic party. Short of miracle she’ll be the next president with a solid majority of the vote. So I guess there’s no need for her to care about the people and she can go ahead with her secret plan make the world a big happy village.

So do I… but the exactly opposite way that you feel about it, I’m sure ;).

I wouldn’t be adverse to telling these DINOs that if they don’t like how the Democratic Party is run, maybe they should just try to start their own party and see how far that gets them. The establishment should be actively nipping any left-wing Tea Party ideas in the bud.

Sanders is not a “dangerous socialist” – his brand of social democracy is not dangerous at all – and yes, he would beat Trump or Cruz.

His ideas are already in practice in a number of countries, which are doing quite well. No danger, no disaster. This is chicken little level talk right here.

Social democracy is not dangerous to America. A $15 minimum wage is not dangerous. Single-payer healthcare is not dangerous. Publicly funded higher education is not dangerous. A reinvigorated labor movement is not dangerous. Not even a guaranteed basic income or a much more highly redistributive tax code would be dangerous. What on Earth are you talking about?!
