When I go to bed tonight I’ll have to wear multiple layers and use two blankets. Might need pills too. It really sucks having to live in a not-well-heated home with no chance of moving anywhere else for a long time. ---

I hear that. The central heat in my little cottage has been out all winter - it got flooded over the summer and either fried the electric relay or the blower. I have tried to ‘live without’ and just use oil filled electric radiators, but I officially give up. Service will be here tomorrow. Hope it ain’t too much. On the plus side I just did my taxes, so I suppose that refund might pay for this… ---

Think about it this way: many of our homes here in the southern US don’t have excellent heating units (in apartments, read “the cheapest thing available”, but great AC 😛 ) and it’s supposed to get down to 17F tonight. Yeah, I’m wearing fleece and will be under the quilts tonight. We’re not staying any warmer than you folks in the great white north. 😛 ---

I’m sitting on my heating pad. 😃 _mmm_, nice warm butt. Dinner is quinoa with sausage and lots of onion’n’garlic and a bit of celery. If that sounds super healthy, bear in mind that my snack earlier was toasted butter-soaked Corn Flakes. (I highly recommend this treat. Your cardiologist might not.) Met a new guy on Superb Owl Sunday off a dating site. I like this one! Spent hours together and at no point did this tired, overworked introvert think, “I’m bored, I wanna go home.” That’s one helluva good sign. At this point, potential competitors for my time and attention are compared against the prospect of a quiet evening with Netlix and my sweet, fluffy cat and my jewelry-making stuff, and frankly it’s hard for them to match up against that. Bonus points that he’d rather spend time getting to know me than watching the game. Double bonus points that he was not at all put out by my being \*two solid hours late \*being ready to meet him, since I was in a near coma until the ungodly hour of 1 p.m. I knew I was tired, but dang y’all! I could’ve slept through a bomb. I’ve had a dark shadow of worry over me lately - the potential for baaaaaaad juju that would have been nobody’s fault but my own - but it is officially over and done with, and between that and temporary mandatory overtime being done at work (for now) I feel an enormous sense of relief. **Purple** is gonna sleep tonight, folks. ---

I went to bed with melatonin last night and slept like the dead, so YAY!! Weird dreams, but not disturbing, so I feel rested. And we got our last tax thingie in the mail yesterday, so I can do our taxes, as soon as I gather all the pieces of paper together. Guess I know what today’s plan is. \*\*FCD \*\*took the truck. I’m going to take the car back because our brakes are making a weird noise that they shouldn’t be making. Meanwhile, the dishwasher is washing our dishes - I suppose I could have run it last night, but I didn’t. Oh, yeah, and it’s _THIRTY DEGREES COLDER_ this morning than yesterday morning. Stoopit weather! Plus thanks to the brisk gusts yesterday, there are all kinds of sticks and branches down in the yard. Have I mentioned that I hate winter? Happy Tuesday anyway. ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ 'Tis 30 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 53 and sunny. I can live with that. **flytrap** the possessive form of Jesus is Jesus’. Thus endeth the grammar lesson. I saw a picture of the gathered Clergy at Sunday’s Consecration service. There are two Bishops, five Priests, and two Deacons in that picture. Now I understand why I had the over-whelmin’ urge to behave myself. 😃 Ok, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence. I’m headin’ down to the southeast forty this mornin’ and must get on the road by seven-thirty to make my nine o’ clock appointment. Much of the ride is on two lane state highways. ICK! Thus, a lot of today will involve ridin’. Double ICK! Happy Tuesday Y’all! ---

Just got back from dropping the car off at the shop - they’re going to put on different brake pads. I have their loaner - an ancient Taurus. Not quite as terrible as the ancient Chevy that used to be their loaner. No real complaints, tho - at least they have a loaner! I don’t intend to go anywhere today, but I didn’t want to be stuck sitting at the shop either. So there’s that. And I made a detour on the way home and got a chicken to rotiss for supper. Dishes are done. What to do now??? ---
