I hate their music, but hey, more power to them. I wish I could have been able to buy a CD from some of the concerts I’ve been to, even though as a rule I tend to detest live albums. There will always be bootlegs, but would you prefer high quality over low quality?
Besides, anyone who has a job is whoring themselves out. If you can do something that someone wants you to do, and can get paid for it, it’s much better than the alternative. I love Capitalism! If people want to pay their money for every single live album, who better to profit than the band that performed? I doubt anyone has been forced to buy a CD against their will.
Word jane.
I had the distinct displeasure of seeing these nitwits open for The Rolling Stones, on the “Bridges to Babylon” concert tour. What an effing bunch of no talent whiner pansy boy losers!. Every single song (except one) sounded exactly the same and their lyrics were entirely unintelligible.
I can scrape out better songs from underneath my wet saxophone pads after a practice session. One femtosecond after Mick Jagger took the stage that little bunch of piss-ant hosers faded into oblivion at double digit warp speed. However cute of a marketing idea it is to allow fans to buy an exact recording of the precise live show that they heard in their city, it’s really important to have some frickin’ content so that the purchase has some meaning!
The success of Pearl Jam is incontrovertible testimony to the decline of modern civilization. I would almost rather listen to rap music that their drivel. I have composed songs with orders of magnitude more content in fiften minutes than I have ever heard them play. As someone who composes music and lyrics, the shallowness of Pearl Jam’s work really blows.
