I’m trying not to jinx it, but I think it went really well. I was excited by what I saw there, and I think I came off well to them. Don’t ask about the 11pm frantic drive the night before to find an all night CVS to buy a new flash drive. In an area I knew nothing about. Oy, don’t ask. ---

Twelve hours and 400 miles later I’m home. The day went well but I imagine I will be brooding about it all week. There are many things I am glad are over with the end of this marriage but the reality is I _do_ miss the animals. Today we moved Devon, the Percheron Quarterhorse mix that my former wife once claimed she would choose over me any day yet abandoned him to her daughter to flee to Hawaii; and the pony Cloud who she gave to her son for the grandchildren. I spent the better part of four years with Devon, two with Cloud. We drove to where they have been kept for the last 6 months with the trailer I bought for my wife (that she since gave to her daughter) in order to move the horses to Richmond. Though I have not seen them in six months I was immediately mobbed as soon as I got out of the truck, as if we had seen each other yesterday. They each nuzzled me for awhile, and after a quick cleaning, loaded on the trailer with great ease. An hour later they were at their new home, and soon I was gone. Probably won’t see them again. So there it is. I look forward to forgetting much about the last 4 years, but the animals, not so much. ---

Howdy all, Been working my tail off, three hard show days including a fifteen hour one yesterday, checked the online schedule at ten of six and guess who is working at six, me.
