I’ve got sloppy joes simmering for supper. I was out of tomato paste, so it’s going to take a while for the sauce to cook down. No biggie - it can simmer for at least 2 more hours, maybe more. Dishes are done, recycling and garbage bags have been removed and refreshed - I see a trip to the convenience center by the end of the week. Good times! ---

**Happy Soapyversary!** And I hope your son did well on his AP exam, **Soapy**. Good luck as well on your housing search, **Rosie**. Super dry New Mexico, or at least parts of it, got rain most of this past weekend, and there was even _gasp_ a small tornado near Socorro. A very unusual occurence, so we’ve been told that it. 🙂 Fortunately there was little damage done by it. Quite fortunately. Hope everyone is doing well, and enjoying the beginning of the week. **Happy Soapiversary!!!** I’m at da cave doin ’ some paperirk. Just felt like comin’ home to finish stuff up today. OYKW is about thrity minutes away. When he gets here I’ll grill chikin for sallits and we’ll have an earlyish dindin. I also have Vestry meetin’ tonight. I’d rather stay here to “welcome” OYKW home. However, responsible I must be, so be responsible I shall. Back to irk. ---

Ugh. I just cleaned the dining room table (the catchall in this house) and then unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher. I am now drenched with sweat and thoroughly uncomfortable. I’m not looking forward to doggie school today. I always leave there covered with dog hair. Dog hair and sweat don’t mix well. ---

It takes two days for CFI to process a fax. :smack: :rolleyes: I’ll check again Wednesday, that’s when everything processes through my bank account anyway. I finished reading a \*\*\*terrible \*_book yesterday. A Reliable Wife_ is the name of it. I’m letting my hatred for it gel for a couple of days and then I will shred it like I did [Ladies of Missalonghi](http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/21536845). Today I read half of a much better book (_Mr. Palomar_ by Italo Calvino. I love Italo Calvino.) ---

**Spidey** I bet that was so keeeeeeeeyooooooote to watch! AWWWWW… Well, that was a looooooooooooooong Vestry meetin’. Geez! Everything from clogged terlets (that’s happenin’ again), to cleanin’ out the grease trap, financial stuff, payin’ off the remainder of the mortgage (we will have another 50-50 challenge in August. someone is sayin’ all contributions towards the paydown will be matched up to 25k!) to formin’ a committee to meet with the Lutherans about how the two churches will come together with miscellaneous stuff thrown in. It made da bear tahrd. Heh, I was talkin’ with OYKW after the meetin’ over the phone and he was all “just what in hell did y’all talk about for almost two and a half hours and that’s just another reason why I _never, never, never, ever_ want to serve on the Vestry.” Yeah, I’m on the countdown myself. Seven and a half more months and my three year term is over. I enjoy it but three years is a big commitment. **Spidey** since her nickname is **Soapy** it’s **Soapy** versary. It makes perfect sense if you apply Mumper logic. Of course there’s not a whole lot of logic to Mumper logic so that may not help. 😃 **Rosie** are you sayin’ sittin’ through all the credits is enougt to make one want to lay and aig? It’s 6:15 PM. I had a 10:00 am ophthamology appt because I have a purple blind spot in my right eye. It’s been there, on and off for 2 weeks, but became permanent on Saturday. I called this morning and they deemed it an emergency. (thinking it was a retinal detatchment.) It isn’t. My regular doctor calls me evolution in action, because most of the time, something that should be simple and straightforward, isn’t. I have all the symptoms of a retinal tear, but the scans show something else. They aren’t sure exactly what. I now have appts for labs, my regular PCP, dopler studies and back to the ophthamologist. I still have a pink/purple blind spot. Hubby took me out to “lunch” after. I’m still fuzzy after 4 Absolut Peppars. Yes, I drink it straight and chilled. I took a 2 hour nap, but, I’m still… not exactly myself. ---

I did not want to get out of bed this morning, but my sweetie asked me to pack him a lunch, so I did. It’s raining - a very soothing sounding rain, so I may crawl back under the covers anyway. Very disturbing dream last night - I was called in by my ex-boss for training. I kept telling everyone it was dumb because if they hired me back, I’d have to pay back all the money I got for retiring and I didn’t have any of it! I was both worried and pissed off when I woke up. Maybe if I grab a few more zzzzzzzzzz I’ll dream about fuzzy puppies and sunny meadows. Yeah, right… :rolleyes: No idea what today holds. At the moment, I don’t even care. I think returning to bed is the best option. Happy Tuesday anyway! ---
