Funny song which I recall from the early MTV days by Dr. Hook and friends: “She don’t say nothing but, [baby makes her blue jeans talk](http://www.risa.co.uk/sla/song.php?songid=17040)”

Aw yeah. At my former workplace, there was this girl who worked in records just around the corner from our office. She wasn’t anything special from the front, but man, was it fun to watch her go. Her mama taught her to walk _right_. We called her “the walking girl.” Even my female co-worker had to admit that her walk was something special.

with apologies to **anaamika** …

Chantilly lace and a pretty face
And a pony tail hanging down
a wiggle in her walk and a giggle in her talk
Makes the world go round
There ain’t nothing in the world like a big eyed girl
That makes me act so funny, make me spend my money
Make me feel real loose like a long necked goose
oh baby that’s what I like

Wasn’t till I read post #23 from Godfrey Daniels that I finally got it. I guess I never really paid much attention to all the lyrics of “Lace” or maybe I just couldn’t recall all of them.

I got great big blisters
On my bloodshot eyes from looking
At that long legged beauty up ahead
What she does simply walking
Down the sidewalks of the city
Makes me think about a stray cat getting fed

True Story:

I was home from college one summer, wasting an afternoon in the city. I started following, purely by coincidence, the most magnificent walk ever. At stop lights, I’d hang back, wait for her to get a head start on me, then follow at a slight distance again.

She got to where she was going, turned as if to go in and just busted me watching her.

“We’re you following me?” Delivered in a kind of wary yet friendly voice.

Very honest Pre Bus Guy: “I would have introduced myself (yes I would have, I was pretty forward back then), but I was really enjoying watching you walk” (pretending to be blushing or at least embarassed)

She: " I’m Laura. I get out of work at 4:30. If you’re\*\* right here\*\* (entrance to her building) we could walk somewhere together and have a drink, how’s that?"

Turns out the best thing she did was walk. She had the IQ of a carrot, was about as self-indulgent as anyone I ever knew and when we had our drink the first sentence out of her mouth was that she’d never ever consider having sex with someone that didn’t make $100K. (this was 1978 and I was a frigging college student)

Thw walk was great, the beer was cold though, so she’ll always stick in my memory.

>
> Type 1 - The basic parabolic arc with a constant period

>
> Type 3 - The wiggle describes a complex figure, resembling an infinity sign; your basic Figure 8 on its side

Yes, I’ve noticed that as well.

But WHYYYYY? I mean, why do we spend so much time studying it? It all seems so trivial. Why the _attraction_?

:dubious: ☹😕

A curvy woman seductively moving in such a way that conjures up images of what she would do to you in bed…

I don’t think I understand your question.

While watching _Battlestar Galactica_ recently, I discovered the secret to the way models walk on the runway. There was a scene involving Six walking away from the camera. Being a former model, and (I assume) trying to look sexy, she was walking as if she was on the runway. I noticed that her feet were placed one in front of the other, creating that exaggerated hip sway we associate with models.

The reason I bring this up? I mentioned this to my wife, who now frequently imitates this walk when trying to get my attention. Can’t say as I mind.

Women have feet? I’ve never looked that far down.

It’s the primary purpose of all life. The mystery is why we occasionally don’t think about it.
