# The Winner

I was giving this some further thought and it occurred to me that the _real_ joke to make in that situation is to have the parents watching the slow-motion Bronco chase and having the father say “I’m sick of this already. What else is on?” Leave off the laugh track and let it stand as a tragicomedy joke that for the next 16 months, very little that’s _not_ O.J.-related will be “on.”

I actually thought this was funnier than **30 Rock**. Which is to say it was the second worst show I’ve ever seen.

I’m surprised so many people finally agree with me on how bad a show is. As far as primetime goes, they can usually put boiling camel semen on the screen for 22 minutes and half the people watching will think it’s great.

I think the joke is that they’re from Buffalo and therefore the dad can’t entertain the idea that their legendary sports hero could be a killer.
