Woohoo! Today is a very good day. Glad HBO didn’t go all Deadwood on the Wire.
Well Bubs…
is back in episode 2, - with a bigger and better cart, no less!
Re: Omar
Omar is in the preview for ep. 3… can’t wait to see him and how he fits in with the Baltimore middle school scene.
Ah, my fix. Good to have you back so soon. (Soon for me anyway).
Did anyone notice that the final pan out mirrored the final pan out from the last episode of Season 3? They’re using the nailgun to board up the bodies in the same block that faced Hamsterdam - where Cutty’s grandma lived.
Also great to see the old Warden from Oz back on an HBO show. (Norman, one of the campaign managers).
I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure that the nice old lady that Bunny Colvin moved out of Hamsterdam was not Cutty’s grandma, and that Cutty’s grandma didn’t live that close to Hamsterdam. There are a lot of similar row houses in Baltimore.
I doubt that it will happen in this season, but one character I’d like to see more of, and learn more of the backstory of, is Brother Mouzone. How does a member of the Nation of Islam become a hitman?
I assume most of us here watched the two half-hour shows about The Wire that HBO started running a week or two ago. Something they mentioned there that I had never noticed in three seasons was that Omar never uses the F-word or other curses. Just part of his code.
