My ex is working for EA right now as a game tester. One of the perks is he can check out games from a library. He brought The Sims last night. I’m hooked after only 6 hours. 😃 The other perk of his job, he can buy games at a huge discount, so we will be getting ALL the expansion packs. I just hope my computer doesn’t melt down. The guinea pig (from Livin’ Large) bit the father of the family, and now they’re all sneezing, coughing, and sleeping a lot. Apparently it can be fatal to Sims… ☹ I swear I’m not making this one up. ---

Sims addict here. I suggest downloading the painting editor (or whatever it’s called) and finding some nice hardcore porn to hang on their walls. In the elegantly decorated dining room, for instance. ---

**im2evil4u** - What kinds of programs do you having running in the background (firewalls, anti-virus programs, etc.)? I run the Sims with three expansion packs on XP (and a Dell), but the game freezes if I’m running Norton Antivirus auto-protect. The only time I’ve had problems with the program crashing is when I have downloaded and installed an object that is supposed to be used only with an expansion pack I don’t have. ---

I made a skin as a practice, that turned out really nice-one of the dresses from _Titanic_. I also found _Star Wars_ skins, _Titanic_, _Moulin Rouge_, all sorts of cool stuff. I even found a “Rejuvenation Chamber”-all the Sim has to do is go in-and all their bars spike to the top! GREAT for those trying to take care of a baby, or on an all night study marathon. ---

**fogmage** , **nightshadea** : Unfortunately, all of my Sims related bookmarks are backed up on a CD I haven’t yet been able to find. (Hadda full system reinstall a buncha months back, and I’m still being lazy about restoring all the little stuff.) Try googling for some variation of Dr. Frankensim’s Laboratory - Bizarre collection o’ skins and items: monsters, villains and bad guys (both real and fictional) gothic outfit skins, nekkid people and bathing suits, etc. He has (had? it’s been months now) a pretty complete list of links to less mainstream stuff for the Sims. Try Alternate Lives as well. The Mrs. and I had a serious ‘geek’ period where we played with variations on the wireframes/animations files, to see what we could come up with. A note on this: Learn how to at least back up and rename, ferinstance, the default pajama wireframes, to oh, say, the 300 body models. Putting skintight PJ’s or boxers and a bare chest (IOW just renaming/copying the pajamaxxx.skn) on the original PJ body frame leads to some freaky looking Sims. 🙂 ---

I’ve installed and reinstalled this game seven or eight times and after playing for a week or two one of these two things occur: 1)I will start the game and click on one of my houses. Once in the house something is disturbingly wrong, for instance the walls and floor of the second story are gone yet the first story walls are intact.
