# The world dodged a bullet with Clinton's defeat

I find it interesting how nobody cares to discuss the legitimacy of Clinton setting up a “No Fly Zone” half way 'round the world vs. Putin setting one up over the exact same territory.

So after Trump rips up NAFTA, NATO, The Paris Accords, the nuclear deal with Iran, etc., what country is even going to trust the United States to keep it’s word on anything?
I think that Iran and Russia will come to some sort of agreement soon under which in exchange for allowing a Russian military presence in Iran, Russia will provide a nuclear deterrence against anyone that would attack Iran, maybe even positioning nukes on Iranian soil. I think Russia would prefers that Iran not have its own nukes, and Iran would get the nuclear deterrence now without the time required to develop it’s own program.

Hmmm… I seem to remember the Florida Cubans being miffed at President Obama beginning to thaw Cuban/American relations. Might Trump, _et al.,_ walk that back?
In which case Putin could come to the rescue of Cuba–to supply some of the aid that was so sorely missed after the USSR fell. In exchange, he might request places to park a few nukes…

Democrat (as well as, admittedly, Republican) ignorance of the region is what allowed this whole mess to escalate in the first place. Trump could hardly do worst (short of starting WWIII, which he won’t) and may do better.
