A couple of years ago I was channel surfing and stopped to watch some _Super Market Sweep_. Sure it was little more than paid product placement, with a little bit of gimme trivia, but it was still better than watching the regular afternoon fare.

Even with my low expectations, I was shocked when I saw this exchange:

Host: Of the following, which is not likely to be found in a petting zoo:
Deer, lamb\*, plutonium.

Contestant: Deer!
\*I won’t swear this was the exact other animal. I will swear that the other two choices listed are the ones that the contestant was given. As is the contestant’s answer.
On the terrible, terrible UK kiddy gameshow _Funhouse_, host Pat Clark (Britain’s mullet king - [http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/9/9b/Funhousesharp.gif](http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/9/9b/Funhousesharp.gif) ) asked, “What is the capital of India?”

Red team buzzed in and answered “Bombay”.

Not a horrible answer, really… but the programme’s researchers _had that listed as the correct answer!_
His name is Pat _Sharp_.

The absolute BEST game show moment in history! Poor Dawson, trying SO hard to maintain, but finally giving in to the helpless laughter. I watch this clip whenever I’m feeling down and need a good laugh–it never fails!
Watching that, I feel so sorry for the poor girl who was there to do the second part of fast money, visibly wondering just what _she_ was doing that had Richard Dawson unable to talk.
And then she kills him with her appropriate answer to an unrelated question.

😃

[Gilbert Gottfried on Hollywood Squares](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkkMkefwa8k). I do not like him, but that show had me cracking up.

YOU FOOL!

When everybody calms down, Drew Carey says, “Over here in the States, that’s pronounced poo-say.”

So, you have some idea what she said. But holy cow, I thought they were going to pee their pants.
I’ve been saying “poo-say” over and over trying to figure this out and can’t. Little hint, please?

Ah. I still don’t know what that has to do with restaurants. But no matter! Thanks.

Edit: now I see the rest of your answer and it makes sense - thanks!

I don’t want to think about what would be served at a “Pussy Cafe”

I read (on this board, I believe) that someone lost “Smarter than a 5th grader” because they believed a cliche.

When asked the two participants in the Hundred Years War, s/he ruled out France, because they would never last that long in a war.

Hell, they weren’t just feeding him the answers, they were scripting his jokes too! 😉
On _Jeopardy!_ in 2004, one clue was: “When males join the Sikh religion, they add this five-letter word meaning ‘lion’ to their names.”

Some contestant, clearly a big C. S. Lewis fan, buzzed in and said, “What is ‘Aslan’?”
FWIW, “aslan” actually does mean “lion” in Turkish, and maybe some other Turkic languages, too.
Any chance the woman was Black? It’s not uncommon, at least in Southern Black vernacular, for “corporation” to be pronounced “cooperation.”
As a matter of fact, she was.
