1. Magician’s Birthday - because all in all, this is wicked cool. 2. Murmur - nothing like kudzu taking over a backyard for a good spooky image. 3. Meaty Beaty Big & Bouncy - fun times imaging the kids are somehow the band members, and they are clearly not. Oh well. 4. The Bends - the ecstasy of distortion! 5. Born to Run - certainly up there with rock star imagines. 6. Who’s Next - yeah, fairly iconic in it’s own right. 7. Relax - wait, isn’t this disco? Ah, it’s a cool shot anyway. 8. Sabotage - Oi! Who’s that fat wanker in the red tights? 9. Rock and Roll - yeah, it’s silly. 10. Draw the Line - not really a Hirschfeld fan. Always thought he was overrated, but I felt the same about Norman Rockwell, and that one guy who always painted in splotches too. ---

Finally people are mentioning Hugh Syme covers! (Megadeth, Rush) He’s probably my favourite, and I suppose the fact that Rush is my favourite band has something to do with that. A little bit of editing and we’re currently looking at 90 record covers. Because I want to have links to everything, this will take a little while to set up, but sometime tomorrow – or much later tonight – I’ll start the World’s Greatest Album Cover Elimination Game and we’ll narrow the candidates down from 90 to 10.
