Astorian, you are so right about “Mr. Mike’s Mondo Video”. I remember seeing it with my brother. We thought the movie would be a compilation of skits that were too racy even for late night. We didn’t even get the box office warning about no refunds. We did sit through the movie cause we’re cheap, but we agreed that the movie wasn’t worth the film it was printed on. ---

The best scene in **Deep Blue Sea** was the one where Samuel L. Jackson is giving everyone the standard, "We’re going to stick together and fight, fight, fight!!!And we’re going to **LIVE!!!** speech, and right in the middle of it, one of the sharks jumps out of the water and eats him. The woman 2 rows in front of me screamed, but I just started laughing. ---

It is obvious none of you have seen “Mom And Dad Save The World”. I sat through this abomination in a movie theater BY MYSELF. There were no other people in the theater. Freaky, yet some how appropriate. Worst movie I have ever seen. ---

Not only is Freddy Got Fingered bad it’s downright disturbing. I didn’t find the pregnancy scene remotely funny. But as bad as it was it still doesn’t hold a candle to **Powder** , which took boring filmmaking to new heights. ---

Why does this movie get so much vitriol? I must be apparently one of a small handful of people (including a critic at The New York Times, oddly enough) who thought this movie was quite good. Absolutely absurd, non-sequitor, disgusting, revolting, bizarre, unashamedly juvenille, surreal… plain cinematic anarchy. C’mon! This is supposed to be mining the depths of sick low-brow humor and stream-of-conscious plot. In that, it succeeds amazingly. Apparently it is only me, but the absurdist and even dadaist quality of the scenes, from the gross-out delivery scene to the “Dad, welcome to Afghanistan” part had me bent over in stitches. I am not being ironic in my analysis. I really do think this movie is much, much better than people give it credit for. Then again, I’m weird. I just saw the worst movie ever three weeks ago. For some reason, the South African TV networks felt compelled to replay this movie FOUR TIMES while I was there. The flick? The skydiving masterpiece “Cutaway.” One and a half hours of boring skydiving footage interspersed with stony dialogue and the occasional fleeting glimpse of a storyline. This movie inspired me to remark “Ya know, the back of a cereal box has more plot than this!” A million monkeys with a million typewriters will eventually turn out the works of Shakespeare. One monkey with one typewriter will turn out Cutaway. Then again, I don’t see this type of movie often, and have never heard of Tom Green before this. ---

I rented and watched Freddie and about half way through I thought of something. I wondered if Tom Green and his pals came up with the idea of making the single worse movie just to see if they could get away with it. Tom Green is a pretty funny guy and I expect he could do better then Freddie, but Tom Green is also a trickster and I could see him making a terrible movie just so he could laugh to himself “heh heh, I can’t believe they put this piece of crap out” But yes, I agree. Freddie Got Fingered is terrible. ---

For this to even approach being the case, the FGF sets, camera lens, actors, craft services table, key grip, and every film reel sent to a theater would have to have been coated an inch thick in rancid dog excrement. (one guy shouted, “I could have been doing _homework_, instead of seeing that!!”) For God’s sake, you could **see** the strings on the flying guys!!! That’s just inexcusable in modern film making. Um, I actually kind of liked Freddy got Fingered. I watched with my two young cousins, and kept saying things like “Oh my god, this is horrible!” Then one of my cousins pinted out that I’d been laughing the whole time. Of course, I don’t think I can reember a single actual joke, or plot point, fro the movie. Worst movie ever? A tie between- Hollywood High (parts I and II- wait, does soft core porn count), Delivery Boys (a breakdancing “comedy” that not even The Robot can redeem), Open House (a horror about reaL estate) and Hundstage (I’ve mentioned this Austrian abomination before, but it still haunts my dreams). Did it have a particularly odd-looking cast of non-professional actors? Did one of the plot points involve somebody putting acid in someone’s parchute? Do you recall someone named “Coleman Francis” as the director of the movie? If so, I (and many fans of the late lamented MST3K) think the movie you’re referring to is also called “The Skydivers.” And yes, a cereal box does have more plot than this film but it would still only be a “dishonorable mention” as either “the worst movie ever” or even “the worst movie directed by Coleman Francis.” ---

NDP - no, I don’t recall acid being part of the plot. Um…wait… maybe it was acid. I can’t remember. Basically, a cop goes undercover to penetrate some sort of parachute club in which the leader dude is making some extra cash on the side by peddling coke or some other drug to rich Floridian white boys. The movie ends with a parachuting competition and a rather unsuccessful mid-air arrest. Oh yeah, Dennis Rodman is in it, so that should be a clue if it’s the same movie. It also came out fairly recently (2000, I think), so I doubt its the MST3K movie. Though you have me intrigued. Some masochistic streak urges me to go find this “The Skydivers” movie and compare and contrast. ---

“Dude wheres my car” was horrible!!! I don’t see why people liked it, it was retarded… almost as bad as “Freddy got fingered” which i turned off after about 30 minutes maybe. “The gods must be crazy” was pretty bad too… i was bored out of my mind. ---

I liked The Gods Must Be Crazy. I never saw the sequel. Batman and Robin was indeed bad. Not even campy, just bad (although I did enjoy Uma’s costumes). Plan Nine from Outer Space is often referred to as the worst movie ever made, but I think a qualifier is needed. After all, it was made on a shoestring budget with really cheap effects and a poor script. It seems to me that a movie like that can’t help being of poor quality, whereas an expensive movie with a supposedly good cast that still manages to stink is even worse. ---

Are we talking only large budget movies that were actually released in the theaters? If not, \*\* Fat Guy Goes Nutzoid\*\* is by far the worst movie ever.
