Four words: _Dogs Barking Jingle Bells_. This song from the OP, while bad, has its moments (especially of ironic humor). But there is nothing, NOTHING to redeem DBJB, which nevertheless was all over the radio during the Holiday Season a few years back (and still gets airplay every year). ---

I think the worst was that “music” House played on that episode with the surly punk musician. House: “Remind me of your influences here. I’m gonna say, Thelonius Monk and the sound a trash compactor makes when you crawl inside it.” ---

That gives it some bonus points compared to something like Christmas Shoes, which is completely irredeemable. ---

This is just what I needed to pick me up. The Raps been great, and now the child sings about christmas! Wheee! I can’t wait to see what’s next, but it doesn’t feel like a single song to me, just interpolations- like I’m on a Musical from Heck while on acid or something… It’s great stuff. They shoulda started it off with the Boat Song from Willy Wonka, it would have been the Perfect Ambiance for this stuff. ---

Oh, I’m so glad to see that you all liked it too. I listened to a lot of it before reading the thread, and I was feeling like there must must be something wrong with me because I think it’s pretty cool. At least it’s interesting, which is a lot more than you can say for a lot of popular music. I don’t want to turn it off because I’m dying to see what comes next. And I’m getting this strange urge to spend next Yom Kippur at Walmart. ---

Was anyone else reminded of the Diva from The Fifth Element when the operatic rapping started? Anyhow, I stopped at about 10 minutes in - not because I disliked it (quite the contrary), but rather because I got distracted with stuff to do around the house. I’ll finish it up soon. ---
