That recipe, of course, is very basic. My favorite addition is a few peeled cloves of garlic, tossed in to boil with the potatoes. Mash 'em up, too. Yummy! ---

Don’t get me started on those @#%#^$$@ TV Dinners! My son really likes the alful stuff, and occasionally I am asked to visit the local Safeway and get a few. But it is very important to get just the right ones, or the whole lot goes back! Typical Sequence of events: Sili goes to store, finds frozen food section, and begins to look for the prescribed TV Dinners - Swedish Meatballs by BrandA, Lasagna/BrandA, Chicken Nuggets/BrandB. (Preferably on Sale) Cannot find Meatballs from BrandA, but do find BrandC - grab two. No Lasagna at all, and one Chicken Nuggets/BrandB Return home, greeted by loved ones asking about TV Dinners (son want’s to know 'cause he’s hungry now, and wife wants to know if she’s gonna have a head ache 'cause son needs his TV Dinners) Wife: Did you get 'em? Sili: Sure. W:Let’s see S:Here W: Wait, this is Meatballs/BrandC, not BrandA. (Louder) How Come You Didn’t get BrandA like I asked?!?!? S: Well, they onl… Son: (picks up on wife’s theme) Yeah, I can’t eat those! W: You KNOW he can’t eat those! S: Well, I … W: Did you get him Lasagna? S: They were all o… W and Son together: AWwwwww, he didn’t get lasagna! W (to Son): Look, he got the Chicken! Son: Yeah, but I want meatballs! W: You DID get them on sale, right? S: OK, BURGER KING tonight!! This happens at least once a week! Damn, fricken Safeway, get the right ones on stock, wouldja? Sili ---
