# The Young Turks is falling off a bit.

I’ve been a fan of TYT for a few years now (for those of you unfamiliar with them, check out [The Young Turks - YouTube](http://www.youtube.com/theyoungturks)), a progressive online news show.

It seems like they got a huge infusion of new equipment and cash, and their production values skyrocketed over a year ago, and the coverage was excellent. Lately they barely update their youtube channel, and I can’t use them to keep me informed of the latest news, only wait for their commentary days afterwards (which I still enjoy). For example, it took days after Paul Ryan was announced as Romney’s VP before they had a single video about it. I knew about PR’s scumbaggy budget plan but that was about it, and I was waiting for TYT to go into better detail about PR’s history. Which they did, but by that time I had already heard it before.

I have no problem with them covering fluff pieces, but their turn around rate for videos is really bad lately, which is the whole point of internet news: Speed.

I also applied for an internship but never heard back, so I’m a bit bitter about that too. 😛

They have a show on Current TV so there’s less of a reason to post videos on youtube.

I’m under 30 so I don’t watch TV. 😛
