I’m watching it now. It’s pretty much exactly what you’d expect and is pretty funny if you like that sort of humor. I don’t see anything about it that’d make me think Sony would need to resort to some huge stunt to make their money back or something. Wonder how the money shakes out. Sure, we’re watching it but it’s also nine people watching it for $6 total. ---

I was expecting The Interview to be a sub-par so bad its good comedy, but its delightfully raunchy, and exactly what you would expect from the Franco-Rogan duo. I’d probably recommend it to someone with a dirty sense of humor and would probably be willing to watch it again. Although I went it with really low expectations so I was pleasantly surprised. ---

OH man! These are exciting times. If this ‘works’ if The Interview makes money going with distribution on the net rather than actual theaters, it could totally change the exhibition business. I bet the theater chains that canceled are shitting their pants right now. ---

It baffles me people still do not understand the Streisand Effect, we’ve seen it in action for decades now but nope. If a malicious ex posts a blurry nude photo of you online on a low traffic site, and google indexes it obviously the rational and correct course of action is to sue google in a court of law attaching your legal name backed by ID to the photo and create enormous media coverage and a robust national debate. Well that is if you don’t want people to see it you know. They should teach this stuff in school. ---

For those who’ve seen it, is Lizzy Caplan super cute and way cool and smart and sophisticated and funny and alluring and charming …and does she give any indication as to why she doesn’t answer my letters??? I know she’s busy and all but I really want to set a date and print up invitations and book a caterer and I was thinking “destination wedding” but keeping it really simple could be good too, just us and our closest friends and family and I can’t wait for her to meet my mom or we could just elope, eloping would be good, we could go to Vegas this weekend …or next week- a New Years Wedding, that would be great, wouldn’t that be great Lizzy? ---

North Korea didn’t have anything to do with what happened. Sony canceled the conventional distribution, and then Sony started selling it online, and so now Sony is getting credit for standing up to the big evil censorship villain that was Sony itself. They did not take a bold patriotic stand. They took a marketing stand to make themselves money, and tried to disguise it as a bold patriotic stand. And I’m disgusted that it’s actually working.
