I believe he disagrees with #1. He’s saying that the top of the ball is moving faster than the bottom, so there’s a lower pressure, so the ball will rise. He’s wrong, of course, because the top of the ball actually slows down the air around it, what with smacking into it and all. The bottom of the ball “helps along” the air underneath it.
