Are there other words that can be pulled apart that have oddly ironic or funny meanings? THere are plenty of anagrams, but I’m interested in words where you don’t have to change the order of the letters… ---

I once saw a whole list of websites that, when spelled out in sentence form, were perfectly respectable. But once they were crammed together to form a web name, they were all pretty wrong! “www dot therapist dot com” was one of them. I’ll see if I can dredge up some of the others… ---

Manslaughter = Man’s Laughter (oddly enough, in German, the word for slaughter 'Schlachen" also contains the German word for “laughter” - “lachen”) ---

Well, I can vouch for the fact that, in the early days of the commercial web, a plant nursery in the small town of [Mole Station, NSW, Australia](http://www.whereis.com/nsw/mole+river/mole+station+rd#session=MTE=), really did register and use the domain [molestationnursery.com](http://molestationnursery.com). Mole Station, if written without a space, seems to meet your criterion. They now have the domain [http://www.molerivernursery.com/](http://www.molerivernursery.com/). It is all quite innocent. Similarly, www. penisland. com purported to be a website selling pens (although I believe in this case it was a deliberate joke rather than a mistake). ---

It got thousands of hits per day from people looking for a Viagra fix. ---

Yeah, another one on the list was “Experts Exchange”, which now uses a hyphen in its URL. “expertsexchange” tends to get parsed rather differently. ---

There was an Italian power-generating company on it: [www.powergenitalia.com](http://www.powergenitalia.com) A site I used to visit quite a bit, that invited computer experts to exchange tips: [www.expertsexchange.com](http://www.expertsexchange.com).
