I think a little perspective is needed here. Alot of people don’t realize how hard it is to write something this catchy and that is going to connect with some large portion of the populace. It’s VERY hard. I’ve tried for years in bands and on my own and can safely say that I’ve maybe written one or two songs that had potential to do to people what this song does to you, **bouv**. Train has talent. They are all decent players and Pat M. has amazing vocal talents. Just because he doesn’t show them off on this particular tune doesn’t mean he doesn’t have them. I have their first two records and enjoy them on a regular basis. It’s better, more memorable pop music than 90% of what’s out there today. ---

For the record: I like “Drops of Jupiter”, it was one of my favorite songs for my senior year of high school/freshman year of college. I’ve got no particular opinion of “Hey Soul Sister”, it’s an easy enough song to ignore while I drive the short distance between my home and work, or work and Chipotle, or whatever. The worst song evar is that triple-damned syrupy sounding “Fireflies” song. What the hell is it even about? Close second is [Hero](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avUTaohfc3U&feature=related) by Skillet. Possibly because my fiancé thinks it’s just the GREATEST SONG EVAR. I want to say she relates to it cause we’re in the military, kinda like why she likes “American Soldier”, the one Toby Kieth song I absolutely can’t tolerate. I used to get driven up the wall by [Halo](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnVUHWCynig) when my girlfriend decided that was the soundtrack of our relationship, but I now love the song thanks to [Glee](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGpue1C9ct4). It’s worth mentioning that you have to actually SEE the song performed on the show to appreciate the cranked-up-to-eleven epic awesomeness of this version. Hey, doesn’t Glee pick up again next week? 😃 ---

Thank you , bouv. Thank you again. I hate that song with such intensity, and I’m a music lover of all genres. His extremely insipid voice is annoying beyond any song I can remember. Far. far worse than anything Maroon 5 has ever put out. I also hate their earlier obnoxious song “Drops of Jupiter.” Truth be told: TRAIN SUCKS BIG TIME. ---

Also, I tried to like that song. It’s horrible. I will always hate it forever. I hated “Fireflies” when I first heard it but it grew on me and now I like it. Same with “Bad Romance.” Adam Lambert’s “Whataya Want From Me” is annoying and I will never like it but nothing comes even close to this Train song. It is the worst song of all time in my opinion because of the annoying voice. ---

Don’t know that it’s the worst song _ever_ (Hey, there’s still _Seasons in the Sun_ and _Muskrat Love_), but the first time I heard it announced on my local radio station, my first thought was “Srsly?? A group as _snowy white_ as Train has recorded a song with the phrase “Soul Sister” in it?”:rolleyes: :smack: ) And yep, I hated it. Now as soon as I hear the intro, I turn the radio all the way down. ---
