Miller Park opens this year…everyone wants to get to a game, right? A weekend game would be good… Mid-summer so we get lots of sun, maybe hit a festival at the Summerfest grounds… How’s July 29th sound. I know, it’s a Sunday game. Against the Padres. But… It’s **_Bob Uecher_ Bobble-head Doll Day!!** What could be cooler? **Sledman** and I are already getting a group of friends together to go down either Friday or Saturday and stay 'til Monday. Anyone want in? ---

Ya know, July 29th near the tail end of the EAA convention. I bet a number of the [flying Dopers](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=63431) might be keen on hopping down from Oshkosh for a day. Especially for Bob Uecker. ---

July 29? I’ll mark it on my calendar! We haven’t planned our summer vacation yet (either a camping trip or a drive out to Nebraska to see the relatives), so I don’t know yet if there will be a conflict. But like **Gazoo** said, I’d be crazy to pass up a Bob Uecker bobbin’ head doll! ---

I’d be so tempted to join in- Minneapolis is just a short jaunt away- but I’m still frustrated that the Packers beat the Vikings twice this year and cost them home-field advantage in the playoffs. [sub]Maybe by the end of July I’ll have forgiven you folks, though.[/sub] ---

It’s the only weekend for EAA… July 24-30, according to [http://www.eaa.org](http://www.eaa.org). I drove past Miller Park about two weeks ago… it was incredibly eerie seeing the empty space where County Stadium stood for half a century. ---
