Yeah. I have a little stuffed cow on top of my monitor. It’s positioned so its head is resting over the front and it’s staring right at me. Kind of worrisome, actually. Oh yeay, one ear is raised up a bit,as though it’s listening to something just outside of my hearing… ---

I have 3 tiny stuffed dogs and one cat. Two of the dogs have antlers and the other has a santa hat on. The cat has a colorful ribbon. I change my animals for each holiday - it’s very festive in my cube. 🙂 ---

I have a purple pencil eraser in the shape of a steam locomotive and a Dogbert squeezie on top of my monitor. Dilbert is standing alongside holding a Mexican flag. BTW, it’s a Sylvania, but my PC is an HP. ---

Our monitor is a KDS. It works pretty well. Plus, it was cheap. Resting on the top is a sheep. He is a NeoPet and looks like [this](http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3163258250&category=230). Stuck directly on the “frame” around the screen are a sticker nametag from my interview at [Build-A-Bear](http://www.buildabear.com/) and a scrap of notebook paper proclaiming “Yahoo!” The latter is to prevent situations like [this one](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=191838). ---

Dell monitor, as was provided by the great State of California (I work at a Cal State Univiersity). And they say California doesn’t spend enough money on education-! I have THREE cows on the top of my monitor! From left to right: Cow1 has a pull string and when you let 'er rip he vibrates, yes VIBRATES erratically and he actually moves across surfaces; Cow 2 has fairy wings, a crown and a magic wand and makes all my wishes come true; Cow 3 is kinda floppy like a beanie baby but his soft belly is actually an “optical grade” chamois designed to wipe dust, lint and fingerprints off my monitor! To the side of my monitor I have a little plastic cow and when you push down on him, his tail lifts and a brown jelly bean pops out of…ummm, that area. Mmmmmm, root beer flavored… \ **lauramarlane** : Yeah, Action Figure Librarian! I’d have one too, but I’m trying to break the librarian image sterotype with multiple tattoos and piercings. I have two dragons on my monitor. One is lying down and peeking over the edge to look at the screen. The other is hatching out of a shell. I also have a small Scooby Doo stuffed animal. ---

I have a Koosh monster on my at-home monitor, holding a pink bunny Pez dispenser in its jaws. There is also an Apple microphone. My work computer, IIRC, has a little stuffed paisley frog (of the Iguana line), a little stuffed Mr O’Lucky (from Fitzgerald’s Casino), and a picture from our wedding (my wife’s and mine, not mine and my computer’s – my computer and I are living in sin). ---

I have two cockroaches and a frog. The frog is looking at me with a perturbed expression. Either because he’s disgusted by how little work I’m doing, or annoyed that it’s been over a year and he still hasn’t caught the nummy roaches, I’m not sure. ---

Well, my home computer’s a laptop… My work computer’s one of those IBM NetVista things that are all in one, with a flat screen, so it won’t hold anything on top. However, taped to the front are some yellow silk flowers my little sister gave me, a keyring with a keyboard key that says PANIC and a sticker reminding me that last names A-K go on Exchange server number 1 and L-Z go on Exchange server number 3. None go on 3 because that’s our bridge-head server. ---
