There were many complaints that Obama never passed a budget. Now with solid R leadership, have they?

I was going to ask what newspapers you read, but instead I will ask, “From which planet are these newspaper that you read?”

A fence is a wall now?

Like, I’m going to walk to the edge of the room I am in, and touch the physical barrier that separates it from the next room in this building. In your opinion, am I touching a fence?

ETA: maybe I should ask, “From what planet comes your definition of common, easily understood English words?”

That was a Democratic talking point. A fence and a wall serve the same purpose on the border. And Trump’s 'wall" is not very specific. He may have some grand goal of a giant wall, but Republicans just want some fence/wall/technology money.

Explain how that is comparable to the fence in question. Building a physical barrier in certain areas with technological assistance can make sense if done properly.

Trump’s plan is bat-shit insane and likely has a profit motive as it’s foundation.

Uh, I think it is a dictionary talking point. Fences are not walls. Nobody looks at a 50-foot solid concrete wall and calls it a fence. Nobody looks at a chain link fence and calls it a wall. Except you.

Coffee serves the same purpose as tea. A kale salad serves the same purpose as a cheeseburger.

Trump has a new, very specific idea every 15 days on what his wall constitutes. And if he wanted a border fence – then all he has to do is say that he agrees with Democrats, who have supported border fences, including “virtual fences,” for a long time, including as recently as this year, but Trump has rejected those programs as insufficient. Why is Trump arguing with Democrats if he agrees with Democrats?
