I love fireflies. 🙂 One of my most vivid memories was from many eons ago when I was a teenager sitting on the back porch of my house. It was just around dusk and the fireflies were starting to blink. There were so many! The lawn was freshly mown and dewy green. With the fireflies flitting around bushes and trees glowing softly in the approaching night it was almost possible, for a moment anyway, to believe in faeries and enchanted creatures. I kept trying to get the rest of the family to sit with me and see what I was seeing but they were all hurrying to and fro intent upon other things so I just sat by myself and soaked up the idyll for the short time it lasted. It’s still such a peaceful recollection. ---
