In case you didn’t notice, only one space survives the submission process. Nobody would have ever known if you had not foolishly confessed!

Judging from the name, English must have been Bob’s native language, so it’s always been an enduring mystery why the man couldn’t spell worth a shit. According to my research, [Burns moved to Quebec in the mid-20th century](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Burns_(Quebec_politician)), undoubtedly out of shame over his illiteracy. Once in Quebec, the Scottish ex-pat apparently spoke only French, which he was much better at. He was so beloved over his beautiful poetry now that people could understand it that he won a seat in the provincial legislature by defeating one Marcel Chaput (pronounced, appropriately enough, “kaput”) and became an advocate for Quebec independence in the 1970s, probably out of spite for the English-speaking world.
