Are you sure it’s Thailand? Cambodia sounds more like it. Thailand’s cleaned that sort of thing up pretty well recently. Hard to eradicate it completely, but all the pedos now tend to head for Cambodia next door.

On Thai forums, they’re pointing out the police were scared to confront the red shirts but brave enough to break up a demonstration by a group of blind people. 😃

Excerpts: “While UDD leaders have claimed that angry protesters ran amok in reaction to the government’s crackdown, where scores were killed leading up to the final May 19 crackdown, information is emerging that shows that several of the attacks were premeditated and not blind vandalism.”
“Some believe that if the UDD was truly engaged in a rich-versus-poor class struggle, then it would have also symbolically torched the more upscale Gaysorn Plaza shopping mall, the other main commercial edge of its Rajaprasong protest stage directly opposite CentralWorld.”

I’ve found an article that lists the transactions of “People of Interest” during the turmoil. To give an idea, Thaksin’s son, Panthongtae withdrew 6.63 billion Baht in that period, that’s about **200 million** US Dollars. Some Red Shirt leaders received up to 14 million Baht (over 400K) on their accounts; who knows what amount of money changed hands under the table or in the form of properties and valuables.
