So, if I get this right, a guy vanished 14 years ago, and the authorities didn’t even search the house for him? Or call the children to get the obviously bogus story Mom was throwing around? 😕 ---

Likely he didn’t have any family close enough to him to consider him missing - I’ve got plenty of relatives that I haven’t seen in years, and who I haven’t a clue where they are, but I wouldn’t ever think to wonder if they’d gone missing. ---
