Well, evolution is a pretty complex topic and has many facets to it from macro to micro and Darwin to Gould. I dunno about your life, but in mine The Second Law of Thermodynamics comes up in conversations about once a never. Are we talking about Chaos Theory here? Alls I’m sayin is that you’re free to vehemently disagree with the work of an author, but when you rant about a topic this complex on the boards, it’s best to provide a bit of substance and rationale to the rant, lest unwashed masses sit here and blankly nod. Me, I haven’t taken a shower in about two days now. ---

A friend of mine (an ardent creationist) sent me this link, with his addition of: I told you evolution was wrong. Pissed me off big time. We had been having discussions about creation/evolution a month or two ago. He had already brought up Thermodynamics. I had already shot it down. So when I got this in my inbox with that “witty” sentence. I was a bit pissed off-I had already spent a good deal of time telling him what thermodynamics was and how it related to evolution. Not to mention the fact that as far as I was concerned the conversation was long dead-I mean, we hadn’t traded emails about the subject for a good month. In my effort to contain myself I posted it here. ---

I had just read this article posted on, of all places, [FARK.com](http://www.fark.com) , and had said to myself “This is wrong. I know it’s wrong. I just don’t know specificilly how” I come to the place with all the answers to my impossible to answer questions, or at least the place that I ask what I think are hard to answer questions but always get answered within twenty minutes. Anyway, thanks. One line of that poem made it all make sense to me. ---

Robert-I especially like this gem from Chick: “This comic proves that the “science” of evolution can only be labeled as misleading theory. Many are being brainwashed in the schools and through the media into believing the Bible is false and that evolution is a scientific fact. Now it’s time they are told the truth!” I would substitute “misleading” with “misunderstood by religious zealots”. “Brainwashed”! Haw Haw Haw! Funny, I’ve read a few books/papers on evolution and I have yet to find the statement that the bible is false. I mean, where would it fit in anyway? The last paragraph of the theory? Natural selection…etc…so this proves evolution…etc…Oh, for all you Christians, and only Christians, evolution concretely proves the bible is lying. So there. I do enjoy the fact that some people think Chick is, not only a comic book drawer, a: Man of God, an evolutionary expert, an expert on all the other brainwashing/satanic religions, an expert on punishment of the wicked, an expert on interpretation, etc.:rolleyes: ---

I did want to also add; I think it would hysterical if someone brought the chick comic up to a scientific journal and said, “here’s Jack’s presentation, can you peer review these findings, because I think Chick might have inadvertantly just won a Nobel Prize.”
