What’s the difference between this and putting kids in car ads? Or peanut butter ads? Or ads for cell phones? Or ads for African “Feed the Children”-type charities?

I’ll agree that it’s a terrible song and a terrible approach, although why you’d expect the kids to look happy given the lyrics is beyond me.
That said, the website it’s on is ludicrously frothy and I’m not buying your faux-innocent “Won’t someone think of the children?” schtick at all.

To be honest, I only made it through a couple of minutes. Wouldn’t buy the album.
Bit of a leap from sucky campaign song (I assume? Did the President’s campaign actually commission this piece of shit?) to “OBAMA COMMANDS ARMY OF DEAD-EYED ZOMBIE CHILDREN!”

I think it’s cute. The lyrics tail off the longer into the song that you get, but it’s a cute concept and they sing really well.

I’m not sure his real name is “Omg”.
What parents would do that to a kid? How the hell do you pronounce it? Is it short for Omgaülbert? If that was really his name, wouldn’t he have a thread in MPSIMS about being made fun of as a kid?

If it makes the OP feel any better, I think it’s a dumb ad. Good thing I never make any political decisions based on partisan advertising. Meanwhile, I’d like to know whether the kids were being ‘indoctrinated’, or whether they were, you know, asked to come into a studio and sing the lyrics to some stupid song.
I’m also curious as to whether the OP really agrees with the first sentence of the linked article:
