**How do you use math as an adult? Holy craaaaap! It’s official, imma do this crazy thing! (Purple Is Moving!)** **Purple** wants to move from Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, to Grand Rapids, Michigan, a distance of 1,100 miles. If she averages 50 miles per hour, how long will it take her to drive the distance? **Purple** ’s car gets 30 miles per gallon of gas. How many gallons of gas will she use on her trip? Gasoline costs $2.05 in Dallas and $2.35 in Grand Rapids. Averaging those prices, how much will **Purple** spend in gasoline on her trip? **Purple** needs entertainment on her drive, so she decides to have fun calculating the coefficient of lift for a Boeing 747 using the equation Cl = 2L ÷ (r × V[sup]2[/sup] × A), where **L** is the lift, **r** is the density, **V** is the velocity and **A** is the wing area. Given that a 747 generates 637,190 pounds of lift when the air density is 0.00058735 slug/ft[sup]3[/sup] at 40,000 feet, its velocity is 871 ft/s, and the reference area is 5,500 ft[sup]2[/sup], what is the coefficient of lift **Purple** calculates? ---
