I may be truly out of mind but [this](http://www.thegourds.com/videos.html) remake just cracks me up. The Gourds have remade Snoop Doggs- Gin and Juice. It’s actually starting to grow on me… laid back… I vote this song best remake of all time. Check out Snoop’s interview on the web page. hilarious. I must have partied _way_ to hard this weekend. ---

Actually, that remake has been around for at least a year. I heard it about that long ago, if not longer. It’s insanely popular on my college radio station (especially on the underground country/western show) and has become quite the institution in East Lansing. Thanks for the link! ---

I first heard this about 2 years ago at a party. We were having a “ghetto/white trash party” and my friend said he had the perfect song for it. I was ecstatic upon hearing it and promptly borrowed the CD. I took it to another friend who had a thing for cover songs. A few days earlier, we’d had this long conversation on what the best silly cover song ever was. So i went up to him and was like, “remember what we were talking about the other day? Well, i got one that blows them all away!” You know that look that little kids get when they open up the present they _really_ wanted for Christmas? That’s just how he looked. ---

I don’t have the time now to download the clip right now, but is it similar to Dynamite Hack’s cover of “Boyz N the Hood”? If so, white bands covering rap classics is becoming epidemic! ---

Oh phooey. So much for my custom BNL CD… Thanks, **absoul**. Heh, it reminds me: I went to a club a couple of weeks ago, and Snoop’s “Gin and Juice” started playing. In my head, though, I was hearing this version. I was giggling to myself throughout the whole song. 🙂
